Welcome back to school, everyone! Sadly, we have to kick off this year with some unfortunate news.
As you may know, the school’s usual Food Service Program Worker, Ms. Masako, went on leave in mid April but is not quite ready to return.
Unfortunately, the school district has been unable to find a substitute for her absence in time for the start of the school year. As such, there will be no breakfast or lunch service until a substitute is found.
If you read Principal Burdett’s email sent on August 27, the tentative start date for breakfast and lunch is Monday, September 15. In the meantime, please pack a lunch for your child until we can get the program organized! Stay tuned for more updates!
Thank you for your understanding and patience. The community school society has already heard from students parents that they are excited for the breakfast and lunch programs this year. We want to get going, too!
