CECSS First Annual Egg Hunt

Fri, 04/19/2019 - 08:35
On a blustery Thursday afternoon, the Courtenay Elementary Community School Society held an egg hunt on the grounds of Courtenay Elementary. The weather forecast called for rain, but as long as there wasn't a downpour, there was no way we would cancel an event that the kids were looking forward to.
Armed with a map, the kids' mission was to navigate it with their partners and find the objects at each numbered location. Given the size of the school grounds, they got a good after-lunch workout plus a quick introduction to map reading.
We were lucky that the weather held, and it was great to see the kids working together to find everything on the map.
A big shout out to the teachers, EAs, and parents who joined in to help make this a fun event. Shall we do it again next year? Let's hope the weather is better next time.
